Edelbrock E-Force x Eaton TVS R2650 Rotors

Edelbrock E-Force x Eaton TVS R2650 Rotors Edelbrock EForce R2650_1

Edelbrock announced the release of its E-Force Superchargers that now feature the new Eaton Gen VI R2650 TVS rotor pack for 2015-2017 Chrysler 300 + Dodge Challenger + Charger and 2015-2017 Ford Mustang 5.0L. Compared to the TVS R2300 rotor pack used in previous E-Force Supercharger kits, the R2650 rotor pack is 15-percent larger, yet it does not impact the overall supercharger dimensions, allowing it to continue to clear your stock hood without modifications.

Eaton TVS R2650 Rotor Pack Features:

  • Larger bearings and thicker timing gears for durability
  • Pressure relief ports in the bearing plate for reduced friction
  • 170 degree twist vs 160 degree twist on the R2300 series
  • Delivers 25 percent more air flow at 18,000 rpm and 14 psi boost compared to the R2300 series
  • More efficient, requiring 18 percent less input power compared to a competitors 2.9L design
  • Eaton TVS rotor packs are designed and manufactured in the USA for the best quality

These systems also utilize the Edelbrock exclusive DP-3C intercooler design which features 45 percent more surface area compared to the previous design. This allows the system to achieve lower intake air temperatures for improved power output and more tuning options such as spark advance. Together, the TVS R2650 and DP-3C are the ultimate forced induction combination for your high performance HEMI or Coyote equipped vehicle.

Dodge Challenger SRT8

The black 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8 we had in the STILLEN Performance Shop just a few weeks ago is back for a little upgrade. Seems like the Vortech Supercharger and Centerforce Clutch we installed is generating a little too much power for the suspension and brakes to handle.

The owner opted for a set of Eibach Multi-Pro R1 Coilovers and Eibach front and rear sway bars to tighten up the suspension.

After the Dodge Challenger SRT8’s upgraded Eibach suspension was in, It was time for the computer alignment and corner balancing final touches.

After the techs improved the cars ability to handle the twists and turns, it was time to improve the cars ability to handle the increased power.  To achieve this the guys installed a set of DBA 4000 Series Drilled and Slotted Rotors paired with a set of Hawk Brake Pads and Goodridge Brake Lines for fade resistance and improved stopping power.

The connection with STILLEN and anything NISSAN is extremely obvious, but many people aren’t aware that we also can help many other nameplates reach their peak power potentials.

In the case of this 2011 SRT8 Dodge Charger, the customer just wasn’t happy with the factory performance levels, he turned to us to help him build a very mean machine. With the help of our Performance Department, we addressed as many areas in the engine as we could that would fit into our customers budget.  He told us he wanted to make some serious power figures with his Vortech supercharger kit, and instead of just slapping a big pulley on there and calling it a day. We did what any respectable shop would do and started with the basics.

First, we installed forged pistons and rods in order to handle the larger volume of air in the cylinders. Then we of course, added larger injectors and upgraded the fuel pump to provide the engine with plenty of fuel for safety. In order to keep things flowing properly, we then ported and polished the head and made sure to beef up the hardware holding everything together. After all the known weaknesses in the engine were addressed we installed the Vortech Supercharger and gave the customer a smaller pulley, raising his boost to 7lbs.  With all that serious engine work done, the customer opted to go for the more smog friendly route and installed some high flowing cats and a cat back exhaust.

After everything was bolted back together, it was time to get some baseline dyno runs and begin the tuning process to keep everything working in harmony.

While I can’t release the final numbers just yet, I will leave you with a quick vid of the Mopar beast laying down some serious power on our dyno….  I apologize for the quality of the video (shot with my iPhone) but it most definitely get’s the point across.

All you MOPAR fans make sure you get yourselves acquainted with our Performance Center as soon as you can. We got you covered.
