As aftermarket part installations go, few can be as deceptively simple as installing a STILLEN Nissan Maxima front lip. Don’t worry, you’re not the only one to think your Maxima lip spoiler is too short or isn’t fitting properly! Other customers have this problem too, so we decided to put together a quick how to video to show everyone the proper way to install a STILLEN Nissan Maxima lip. We’ve also outlined the steps below for you to reference as you watch the video.

What You’ll Need:

  • A friend to help install the lip spoiler
  • A STILLEN Nissan Maxima lip spoiler
  • Grease pencil
  • Adhesion promoter (included with lip spoiler)
  • Screws (included with lip spoiler)

Directions for Installing the STILLEN Nissan Maxima Lip Spoiler:

Step 1: With your friend’s help, install the center of the lip spoiler on first. Then work each side evenly until the lip spoiler fits on the vehicle properly.

Step 2: Gently trace the outline of the lip spoiler on your Maxima and remove the lip spoiler from the vehicle.

Step 3: An 1/8th of an inch below the line you just drew, prep the vehicle for the adhesion tape by using the adhesion promoter.

Step 4: Prepare the lip spoiler for installation by tapping down the red tape, so it can easily be removed after the lip spoiler is installed on your Maxima.

Step 5: With your friend’s help, install the STILLEN Nissan Maxima lip spoiler on your vehicle. Again, start from the center and work each side evenly until you get the proper fit.

Step 6: Remove the tape from the back of the lip spoiler.

Step 7: Add a couple of screws on the back of each rear corner.

Step 8: Clean up and enjoy your great looking Maxima!

Here at STILLEN, we’re no strangers to performance cars and are pretty used to seeing extremely fast cars visiting our facilities for one reason or another. After all, we normally have our founder, Steve Millen’s Nissan No. 75 300ZX sitting in our lobby. However, a couple of weeks ago we had a vehicle come through that impressed even the seasoned veterans – a Ferrari 550 Maranello. Now, this wasn’t any ordinary Ferrari – it was visiting the STILLEN performance shop for a laser alignment in preparation for attempting a land speed record at Bonneville Speedway’s SpeedWeek.

The Results

Unfortunately, this year’s Bonneville Speed Week was canceled due to standing water, so we weren’t able to root for the Ferrari 550 Maranello’s attempt at breaking a land speed record. However, there is rumor of the World Finals being extended to make up for Speed Week being canceled. Hopefully this Ferrari’s owner will get another chance to go for the record!

This has certainly been the summer of superchargers for the STILLEN performance shop.
