At Stillen, we’re not just about selling aftermarket performance parts; we’re about living the lifestyle. That’s why when the opportunity arose to be part of the Tundras to Sedona: Parker Edition event, we jumped on it with both hands on the wheel. This annual gathering of Tundra enthusiasts is a celebration of community, adventure, and of course, trucks.

Even though it was our first year sponsoring the event, it certainly won’t be our last. Being surrounded by fellow enthusiasts and getting to hit the trails together was an unforgettable experience. It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do.

But it wasn’t all about socializing and scenic drives. We took advantage of the rugged terrain to put some of our newest products to the test. Our 2018 Toyota Tundra served as the perfect canvas for showcasing our latest innovations.

STILLEN Cat-Back Exhaust for the Toyota Tundra at Tundras to Sedona Parker Edition Event 2024

First up, our new cat-back exhaust system for the second-generation Tundra. Crafted with precision engineering and designed to deliver enhanced performance and that signature Stillen sound, it proved to be a hit both on and off the road. Even with towing a trailer and climbing hills, the exhaust never droned or got loud enough to disturb the cabin. However, it makes an awesome roar at cold start and lets the V8 be heard at wide-open throttle. Keep an eye out for a shorter version for our most hardcore off-road oriented customers.

Then there’s our Carbon Fiber hood, a stylish and functional addition that adds a touch of aggression to the Tundra’s already bold aesthetic. Paired with Stillen’s Slotted rotors, it’s a combination that’s as eye-catching as it is performance-driven.

Of course, no off-road adventure would be complete without the right gear. Our new prototype desert-style tube front bumper not only adds protection but also enhances the Tundra’s off-road capabilities, allowing it to conquer even the toughest trails with ease.

And let’s not forget about the heart of the beast – our TruPower by STILLEN Cold Air intake. Designed to maximize airflow and improve engine performance, it’s the perfect complement to any Tundra build.

With over 1,000 miles of testing under our belt just on this trip alone, we can confidently say that our products are built to perform, whether you’re cruising down the highway or tackling rugged terrain. And to share the love with our fellow enthusiasts, we even raffled off a set of our drilled and slotted performance rotors and pads to one lucky winner.

As we pack up and head home from Parker, we’re filled with gratitude for the opportunity to be part of such an incredible event. We’re already counting down the days until next year’s Tundra’s to Sedona, and we can’t wait to see where the road takes us next. Until then, keep on trucking, and remember – adventure awaits with Stillen by your side.

Eibach, one of the world’s leading performance suspension manufacturers, is now looking to take your truck performance to the next level with its new line of PRO-TRUCK performance shocks.  For decades, Eibach has dominated all forms of professional motorsports with their superior suspension products, demonstrating firsthand their philosophy of “the will to win.”  The Eibach PRO-TRUCK shocks help to deliver maximum performance both on and off the road by channeling the same industry-leading technology found in their SCORE, CORR, Dakar and WRC racing vehicles.

Shocking News: Shocks Are Important!

Shocks are one of the most important – albeit often-overlooked – components when it comes to preparing your vehicle for off-roading (or any other type of spirited driving).  Shocks essentially help to minimize the impact and vibration to your vehicle’s suspension while driving over rough and uneven ground.  They also assist in keeping your tires in contact with the ground’s surface at all times.  Ultimately, a good set of shocks will help reduce the wear and tear to your vehicle’s suspension, wheels, and tires.

Shocks serve as a very important upgrade when it comes to making your vehicle off-road-ready.

Three Levels of Eibach PRO-TRUCK Shocks

Eibach offers three different levels of PRO-TRUCK shocks to meet your different performance and usage needs: PRO-TRUCK, PRO-TRUCK Sport, and PRO-TRUCK Sport Leveling (RHA).

Eibach PRO-TRUCK Shocks

The first level, PRO-TRUCK, serves as the ideal performance upgrade for your stock truck or SUV that is equipped with its original shocks and standard ride height.

Eibach PRO-TRUCK Sport Shocks

The PRO-TRUCK Sport line, on the other hand, offers maximum performance for your standard to moderately lifted truck with larger wheels and tires. The Eibach PRO-TRUCK Sport shocks are engineered to successfully tackle any type of terrain.

Eibach PRO-TRUCK Leveling Shocks

Lastly, the PRO-TRUCK Sport Leveling line of shocks provide the same maximum performance as the PRO-TRUCK Sport shocks.  However, they come added with front ride height adjustability (RHA) for vehicles with factory front coilover shock configurations.  Depending on the application, the front ride height adjustability can go up to 2.5”.  This allows for you to have a bigger wheel and tire combination, enabling your vehicle to be able to clear a majority of the obstacles it may face while off-roading.

The Eibach PRO-TRUCK shocks are sure to help you conquer whatever terrain lies ahead.

Superior Monotube Design

All of the Eibach PRO-TRUCK shocks feature a modern, monotube design (as opposed to the twin-tube design).  Monotube is generally viewed as superior to a twin-tube design for multiple reasons:

  • Better ride quality – Monotube shocks offer a better ride quality due to their use of a single chamber.  A free-floating piston helps prevent the mixing of the hydraulic fluid and gas.  This inhibits foaming from occurring when the two mix (as what often happens in a twin-tube design).
  • More responsive – Monotube shocks also tend to have more ride responsiveness and damping stability thanks to their larger piston and single valve mechanism.
  • Easy to install – Monotube shocks are even easier to install due to their single shell design. Because everything is all in one chamber, it becomes easier to fit in from different angles.

The Eibach PRO-TRUCK shocks enable this Jeep to be able to handle the harsh conditions of the Moab desert.

Dyno-Tested, Battle-Proven

Not only have Eibach PRO-TRUCK shocks been tested on the dyno for quality and performance, they have also been battle-tested out at the famous 2016 Moab Jeep Safari by Eibach’s Head of Marketing, Mark Krumme (as seen pictured above).  Known for its serious off-road conditions, the week-long trek through the red desert served as the perfect proving-grounds for the new line of performance shocks.  All in all, Kremme claims that the Eibach PRO-TRUCK shocks passed with flying colors, dominating all obstacles that were thrown at them.  The Eibach-equipped Jeep even made a recent appearance here at our STILLEN facility – it definitely earns our nod of approval!

The Eibach PRO-TRUCK shocks offer an unimaginable transformation in off-road handling and performance, all without sacrificing ride quality on the streets.  Whether your vehicle is a stock weekend warrior or a full-blown off-roading machine, Eibach is sure to have the right PRO-TRUCK performance shocks to meet your needs.

The emergence of the new 2016 Toyota Tacoma has been long-awaited by truck fans everywhere.  Throughout its history, the Tacoma is largely known for its rugged toughness, utilitarian nature, and classic Toyota reliability.  However, despite its history of success and popularity, the outgoing second generation Tacoma had begun to become long in the tooth.  Aside from a few aesthetic alterations here and there, the last-gen Toyota Tacoma remained largely unchanged throughout its ten year run starting in 2005.  With an astounding 75% share of the mid-sized truck market, the word on the street was that Toyota had grown somewhat complacent.  However, the 2016 Toyota Tacoma – the first of a new, third generation – offers many new improvements upon Toyota’s award-winning formula.

What’s New for the 2016 Toyota Tacoma?

For starters, a brand new 3.5-liter V-6 with 278 HP and 265 lb-ft replaces the outgoing, outdated V-6 (the base level 2.7L I-4 engine remains the same).  Aside from the improved power, torque, and fuel economy (est. 19/24/21 mpg), the new V-6 Tacoma also will be the first Toyota truck to use an Atkinson-cycle engine.  Additionally, the engine’s computer can also shift between direct and port fuel injection.  All new 6-speed automatic and manual transmissions can be mated to the new V-6, both of which are viewed as huge improvements to the outgoing units.  The frame and suspension have also been highly upgraded, and the interior features a quieter cabin, a useful hand lever e-brake, and a new central control center.  There’s even a GoPro camera mount that comes standard near the rearview mirror.  It’s perfect for filming your off-roading adventures, which brings us to our next point…

Roads?  Where We’re Going, We Don’t Need Roads

A large majority of Toyota Tacoma fans appreciate the truck for its rugged nature and its ability to handle whatever off-road obstacles are thrown at it.  The new 2016 Toyota Tacoma is no exception to the rule, with Toyota claiming that it can conquer just about any terrain.  The TRD Off-Road trim offers a new multi-terrain selector system, allowing the driver to inform the vehicle of what type of environment they will be encountering.  This system allows for instant changes in transmission mapping, throttle response, gear selection, and traction control levels to specifically match the current landscape, whether that be mud, snow, sand, or rocks.   Additionally, the Tacoma also features Toyota’s exclusive “crawl control” system, which essentially enables the vehicle to handle throttle and braking control, allowing the driver to concentrate solely on steering in more demanding situations.

With the new 2016 Toyota Tacoma, drivers can hope to harness some of Toyota’s legendary off-road racing heritage as they tackle their own sand dunes and rock canyons, much like famed off-road racer BJ “Ballistic” Baldwin.  Recently announced as the driver of the new Tundra TRD Pro Baja truck for the upcoming 2016 SCORE International season, the three-time SCORE International champion hopes to further cement his and Toyota’s legacies.  With the release of new pedestrian and racing versions of its trucks, Toyota is certainly hoping to flex its off-roading muscles this year in 2016.

Protecting Against the Off-Road Onslaught

With all of the off-road adventures guaranteed to come your way while driving the 2016 Toyota Tacoma, we recommend looking into some proper protection from any and all “off-road onslaught.”  Husky Liners – one of the leading manufacturers in floor liners, mudguards, and other forms of “vehicle armor” – has recently released a line of mud guards for the new 2016 Toyota Tacoma.  Husky Liner mud guards are custom molded and tailor-fit to match the 2016 Tacoma’s fenders perfectly, offering a sleek style that looks like a factory OEM addition.  The mud guards are made from durable, impact resistant, all-weather thermoplastic that is guaranteed to protect your Tacoma from any kind of debris Mother Nature kicks up at it.  They are even built with maximum width for full tire coverage – there’s no way any rocks are getting past these bad boys.  The exclusive “Husky Shield Film” that comes with the mud guards makes them not only easy to install, but also offers an extra invisible protective layer between the mud guard and your vehicle’s paint.  As we all know, the faster it takes to install the mud guards, the quicker you can be out off-roading in your new Tacoma – it’s a win-win for both you and your truck.  To top it all off, all Husky Liner products come with a hassle-free, lifetime guarantee.  It really doesn’t get much better than that.
