The SEMA 2024 Show in Las Vegas was a massive success, and STILLEN was thrilled to be part of this legendary event that brings the automotive industry together. This year’s show was packed with jaw-dropping builds, innovative parts, and standout designs. For those who couldn’t attend, here’s a quick look at some of the highlights that align perfectly with our market and vision!
Spotlight on the Nissan Z
Among the builds we couldn’t resist was a beautifully modified 2024 Nissan Z showcased at the Alpharex booth. This Z had a stunning setup, and it didn’t stop there—Nissan’s booth featured another standout Z that truly represented what’s possible with Nissan’s iconic sports car. It was a great year for the Nissan Z, and seeing it in these configurations was inspiring for all the Z enthusiasts in attendance.
Nissan Frontier Tarmac Edition
The Nissan booth also showcased a radical concept—a 2024 Nissan Frontier Tarmac edition that turned heads. This aggressive build sported a fully carbon fiber body, lowered suspension, and a cutting-edge aerodynamic kit. It was fantastic to see Nissan push the envelope with a Frontier that combines performance with bold design.
First Look at the 2025 Infiniti QX80
One of the exclusive debuts at SEMA 2024 was the stunning 2025 Infiniti QX80. This vehicle featured a beautiful two-tone paint job and a sleek lowered stance thanks to the new lowering springs. The QX80 was a refreshing addition to the event and a great indication of Infiniti’s future design direction.
Visiting Seibon and Anderson Composites
Our stop at the Seibon booth was a must, where we got a close-up look at new products for the 2024 Tacoma, the refreshed Toyota Prius, and an iconic R34 GTR. Under their Anderson Composites brand, we also saw some impressive domestic builds, like the Z06 C8 Corvette, a Dodge Demon, and the 2024 F150, each enhanced with premium carbon fiber components.
The Tacoma Steals the Show
The 2024 Toyota Tacoma was, without a doubt, one of the most exciting vehicles at SEMA this year. Companies went all-out, creating incredible builds that showed the Tacoma’s versatility and off-road prowess. Highlights included:
KING Suspension Tacoma: This truck showcased serious off-road potential with top-tier suspension components.
STILLEN-Sponsored Icon Vehicle Dynamics Tacoma: Equipped with a long-travel suspension system boasting an impressive 18 inches of travel in the front and over 20 inches in the rear, this Tacoma was a true show-stopper. It featured STILLEN’s own prototype TruControl piggyback tuner, the prototype TruPower cold air intake, and our soon-to-be-released off-road-style dump exhaust, designed for maximum articulation and rear suspension clearance. We were proud to see this beast draw a crowd with its rugged capability.
Truck Covers Booth Tacoma: Another 2024 Tacoma in this booth also featured our prototype components and exhaust, offering a peek at what’s next for STILLEN’s Tacoma lineup.
Toyota’s Radical Concepts
Toyota came in strong with some mind-blowing concept vehicles, including:
Toyota TRD Surf: A retro-styled, two-door off-roader based on the 2025 4Runner with a removable top. This throwback design channels the spirit of the ’80s and is equipped to conquer any off-road challenge.
Land Cruiser Rox: Toyota’s open-top, lifted off-roader, kitted with massive 37-inch tires, a 4-inch lift, and an 8-inch wider track, set to rival the likes of the Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler. The Land Cruiser Rox looks like the ultimate machine for tackling trails and off-road adventures.
We’re excited to bring this behind-the-scenes look to our customers and fans who couldn’t make it to the show this year. The SEMA 2024 Show didn’t disappoint, and the energy, innovation, and passion on display will continue to inspire the STILLEN team as we work on future projects. Stay tuned for more updates, and check out our photos from the event to get an up-close look at these stunning builds.
STILLEN proudly introduces the expanded TruControl product line, now encompassing over 40 new applications, including popular models from Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, and more. This revolutionary plug-and-play solution offers a seamless enhancement to your vehicle’s performance, delivering remarkable power and torque gains without voiding your factory warranty. With our revolutionary technology, we even have the ability to tune cars that come equipped with encrypted ECUs. In this blog post, we’ll explore real-world testing results showcasing the impressive performance gains achieved with TruControl by STILLEN across various vehicles.
How it works:
TruControl by STILLEN stands out as a pinnacle of simplicity and efficiency in aftermarket tuning solutions. Unlike traditional tuning methods that often involve intricate modifications and technical know-how, TruControl offers a hassle-free installation process that requires no soldering, splicing, or specialized tools.
At the heart of TruControl‘s functionality is its plug-and-play design, meticulously engineered to seamlessly integrate with your vehicle’s existing wiring harness. By utilizing factory-style wiring harnesses and matching plugs, TruControl ensures a straightforward installation process that anyone can tackle with ease.
Once installed, TruControl operates as a piggyback tuner, interfacing directly with the factory sensors of your vehicle. It intercepts the data flowing between these sensors and the engine control unit (ECU), allowing for real-time modifications tailored to your specific vehicle through a pre-loaded tune file. This innovative approach empowers TruControl to optimize various engine parameters, such as ignition timing, fueling, and boost pressure, without necessitating any physical alterations to the ECU itself.
One of the key advantages of this data interception method is its non-intrusive nature. While TruControl enhances performance by adjusting critical engine parameters, it does so within the framework of the factory ECU’s safeguards. This means that essential engine protections, including those related to ignition timing tables, fueling, and knock sensors, remain intact, safeguarding your engine against potential damage.
In essence, TruControl serves as a bridge between your vehicle’s sensors and the ECU, enabling precise tuning adjustments that unlock latent power and torque while preserving the integrity of the original engine management system. This seamless integration and performance enhancement make TruControl the ultimate choice for enthusiasts seeking a reliable, warranty-friendly solution to elevate their driving experience.
With TruControl by STILLEN, you can unleash your vehicle’s true potential with confidence, knowing that every enhancement is backed by cutting-edge technology and uncompromising quality.
Enhanced Performance Across Models:
TruControl by STILLEN isn’t just about adding power; it’s about unlocking the true potential of your vehicle’s engine. Let’s take a closer look at the performance gains witnessed across different models:
Dodge Charger, Challenger, and Durango Hellcats
Straight from the factory, the Mopar Hellcat boasts impressive ratings of 707 or 717 flywheel horsepower, depending on the model year. Our dyno testing revealed an exceptional peak horsepower output of 627 at 6,100 RPM* after installing our TruControl, marking an impressive gain of over 90 flywheel horsepower at 5200 RPM*—a total peak engine output of nearly 790 flywheel horsepower*.
Ranger Raptor, Bronco Raptor, Maverick, F-150 Powerboost, Raptor, and more!
A completely stock F150 was strapped onto our Dynojet dynamometer, with the sole modification being the installation of TruControl. The results were astounding, with the F150 producing a massive 50 horsepower and 73 torque gain at the rear wheels, reaching 341 HP and 334 TQ with the TruControl by STILLEN Inline Power Module.
Now offering tunes for the complete Raptor family, including the 3.5T in the F-150 Raptor, Bronco Raptor, and newly released Ranger Raptor. With the launch of the Ranger Raptor in the US, what more could you want than a little more power in the offroad kings. How does over 500 foot pounds of torque sound? This 3.0T is impressive, with plenty more torque to clear obstacles or really open it up on the flat spots in the desert. Leave the Tacoma’s and Frontiers in your dust.
Civic Si, Accord, Civic Type R
Honda has always been known as a tuner-friendly platform, and the TruControl continues to prove that. Unlocking some big numbers on both the 1.5T and 2.0T available across many of the models. The trucontrol provides some serious power for this peppy little 4-cylinder to enhance your driving experience. Whether it is around town, in the canyons, or at the track, protect your investment by not voiding the warranty, but still gaining extra power!
K5, Veloster, Veloster N, Kona, Kona N, Stinger, G70 & more.
With the TruControl by STILLEN Inline Power Module, the Kia Stinger & Genesis G70 equipped with the 3.3TT surpassed its factory-rated horsepower, delivering over 65 flywheel horsepower gain and an impressive total engine output of more than 420 flywheel horsepower. Additionally, torque gains were substantial, with an increase of nearly 90 ft. lbs at the wheels, providing enhanced driving dynamics and acceleration.
Also offering one of the industry’s first tunes for the all-new Smart Stream motors. These new 1.6T engines are extremely robust. Even though they have the same power figures from the factory as the outgoing 1.6T, there is still plenty of room for the TruControl to shine. +33 horsepower and +40 torque. The Kona, Elantra, and K5 can access more power without voiding your warranty.
Wrangler 2.0T & 4xE
Everyone knows once you put big tires on your Jeep you can immediately feel the power loss. With the TruControl by Stillen, you can overcome that feeling with more torque and horsepower to help turn those monster tires. This also helps with obstacle clearing off-road and passing on the highway. With the TruControl, you are making more horsepower than the V6 and almost as much torque as the outgoing Diesel.
Tacoma (coming soon) , Sequoia, & Supra
We have seen some great success when it comes to the TruControl and the new Tundra. We have now adapted the TruControl to the SUV sharing the same powertrain. Access more power for off-road and on-road with the Stillen TruControl for this aggressive styling SUV, now with the power to match. Get huge torque gains for towing, obstacle clearing, and fuel economy.
We didn’t stop there; we couldn’t forget the legendary Supra. The MK V Supra featuring the BMW B48 or B58 engines is just asking to be unlocked. Offering one of the only options to these factory encrypted ECUs to get HUGE power numbers, even when totally stock. The A90 and A91 Supra is an enthusiasts platform, so give them the power their name demands.
With the release of the 2024 Tacoma, Stillen has already been hard at work with R&D. Keep an eye out here or on our social media for more information coming soon for the new Tacoma, 4runner, and Land Cruiser.

The emergence of the new 2016 Toyota Tacoma has been long-awaited by truck fans everywhere. Throughout its history, the Tacoma is largely known for its rugged toughness, utilitarian nature, and classic Toyota reliability. However, despite its history of success and popularity, the outgoing second generation Tacoma had begun to become long in the tooth. Aside from a few aesthetic alterations here and there, the last-gen Toyota Tacoma remained largely unchanged throughout its ten year run starting in 2005. With an astounding 75% share of the mid-sized truck market, the word on the street was that Toyota had grown somewhat complacent. However, the 2016 Toyota Tacoma – the first of a new, third generation – offers many new improvements upon Toyota’s award-winning formula.
What’s New for the 2016 Toyota Tacoma?
For starters, a brand new 3.5-liter V-6 with 278 HP and 265 lb-ft replaces the outgoing, outdated V-6 (the base level 2.7L I-4 engine remains the same). Aside from the improved power, torque, and fuel economy (est. 19/24/21 mpg), the new V-6 Tacoma also will be the first Toyota truck to use an Atkinson-cycle engine. Additionally, the engine’s computer can also shift between direct and port fuel injection. All new 6-speed automatic and manual transmissions can be mated to the new V-6, both of which are viewed as huge improvements to the outgoing units. The frame and suspension have also been highly upgraded, and the interior features a quieter cabin, a useful hand lever e-brake, and a new central control center. There’s even a GoPro camera mount that comes standard near the rearview mirror. It’s perfect for filming your off-roading adventures, which brings us to our next point…
Roads? Where We’re Going, We Don’t Need Roads
A large majority of Toyota Tacoma fans appreciate the truck for its rugged nature and its ability to handle whatever off-road obstacles are thrown at it. The new 2016 Toyota Tacoma is no exception to the rule, with Toyota claiming that it can conquer just about any terrain. The TRD Off-Road trim offers a new multi-terrain selector system, allowing the driver to inform the vehicle of what type of environment they will be encountering. This system allows for instant changes in transmission mapping, throttle response, gear selection, and traction control levels to specifically match the current landscape, whether that be mud, snow, sand, or rocks. Additionally, the Tacoma also features Toyota’s exclusive “crawl control” system, which essentially enables the vehicle to handle throttle and braking control, allowing the driver to concentrate solely on steering in more demanding situations.
With the new 2016 Toyota Tacoma, drivers can hope to harness some of Toyota’s legendary off-road racing heritage as they tackle their own sand dunes and rock canyons, much like famed off-road racer BJ “Ballistic” Baldwin. Recently announced as the driver of the new Tundra TRD Pro Baja truck for the upcoming 2016 SCORE International season, the three-time SCORE International champion hopes to further cement his and Toyota’s legacies. With the release of new pedestrian and racing versions of its trucks, Toyota is certainly hoping to flex its off-roading muscles this year in 2016.
Protecting Against the Off-Road Onslaught
With all of the off-road adventures guaranteed to come your way while driving the 2016 Toyota Tacoma, we recommend looking into some proper protection from any and all “off-road onslaught.” Husky Liners – one of the leading manufacturers in floor liners, mudguards, and other forms of “vehicle armor” – has recently released a line of mud guards for the new 2016 Toyota Tacoma. Husky Liner mud guards are custom molded and tailor-fit to match the 2016 Tacoma’s fenders perfectly, offering a sleek style that looks like a factory OEM addition. The mud guards are made from durable, impact resistant, all-weather thermoplastic that is guaranteed to protect your Tacoma from any kind of debris Mother Nature kicks up at it. They are even built with maximum width for full tire coverage – there’s no way any rocks are getting past these bad boys. The exclusive “Husky Shield Film” that comes with the mud guards makes them not only easy to install, but also offers an extra invisible protective layer between the mud guard and your vehicle’s paint. As we all know, the faster it takes to install the mud guards, the quicker you can be out off-roading in your new Tacoma – it’s a win-win for both you and your truck. To top it all off, all Husky Liner products come with a hassle-free, lifetime guarantee. It really doesn’t get much better than that.
If you have any questions about the Husky Liners mud guards for the 2016 Toyota Tacoma (or any other offerings for your truck), please give our experts a call! You can reach them at 866-250-5542 and they will be happy to give you more information, answer any questions you have, and help you order your new Husky Liners mud guards!
