2011 Ford Edge Lowering Kit Installed

It’s not everyday a 2011 Ford Edge shows up in our shop, so we were excited when this black one, with monster 24″ wheels, came in wanting to reduce some of the wheel gap. The customer wanted to change the look without sacrificing the ride quality, so he opted for some H&R Sport Springs for his Ford Edge Sport.

The 2011 Ford Edge H&R Sport Springs (Part #HR51605) are roughly a 1.75″ drop in the front and 1.5″ drop in the rear. In addition to reducing the wheel well gap, the Ford Edge H&R Sport Springs lower the center of gravity while reducing body roll for better handling. The Sport Springs have a progressive spring rate design which provides excellent ride quality and comfort.
The Ford Edge has some fairly large wheel wells, so even with the 24s there is plenty of room for the suspension to travel without rubbing.

Your heart definitely starts to race when you see this Dodge lineup in the shop all getting supercharger work done. What’s even better are the options these American muscle cars have available for aftermarket performance parts, especially when it comes to horsepower.
We here at STILLEN get pigeon-holed sometimes thinking we are just a ‘Nissan Shop’ or that we just push products around, but don’t do service work at our facility. Both aren’t true, as you see these 3 MOPAR beauties getting some STILLEN treatment in our 5-bay service shop. And in the best kind of way.. forced induction!
We have done numerous mods on this Vortech supercharged Dodge Charger SRT8 over the years. It is back now getting some custom internal engine parts installed.
This beautiful red, 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 was already packing some power under the hood when it came in stock, but the owner wanted it’s true potential to come out and opted for a Magnuson Supercharger to drop on to the 6.1 Liter Hemi.

This black 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8 decided to go a different route and will be getting a Vortech Supercharger.
Along with the Vortech Supercharger a Centerforce Clutch was added to get smoother engagement and high-end holding capacity.

2013 Toyota Tundra Lowering Kit Installed

A brand new 2013 Toyota Tundra Double Cab came into the shop for a McGaughys Lowering Kit install. This mild 2/4 kit is a 2” drop spindle up front and 4” flip kit in the rear along with McGaughys rear shocks. It is a bolt on kit that is CNC machined, made in the USA and designed to work with the factory suspension components without any major modifications to the truck.

2013 Nissan 370Z gets a STILLEN Gen 3 Intake

A customer brought in his brand new, bright red 2013 Nissan 370Z with Sport Package recently to add a few finishing touches to his ride. It arrived already equipped with our STILLEN 370Z Stainless Steel Exhaust System installed by the dealer, but needed one more piece for maximum air flow; the STILLEN Generation 3 Ultra Long Tube Dual Intake Kit.
This STILLEN 370Z Cat-back Exhaust and Gen 3 Intake combination is a bolt-on upgrade that has shown to put an additional 35 horsepower to the wheels!
The new 2013 370Z design is similar to previous years, with a few minor upgrades. A stand out is the LED lights on both corners of the front fascia, but more notably the Sport Edition comes with a new set of 19″ Ray’s Wheels. Formula Drift 2013 Season Kicked Off in Long Beach

2013 Formula Drift season kicked off this past Saturday to a sold out crowd in Long Beach. Thousands of fans gathered as the the worlds best in drift battled it out for the top spot. After a long day of smoked tires, Daijiro Yoshihara in his 240SX came out on top, followed closely by Vaughn Gittin Jr. in second and Chris Forberg in third.
The Slammed Society Car Show and Vendor Village were a great way to kill some time in between rounds.
Scion’s FR-S has been everywhere lately, the Forumula Drift was no exception.

DEALERSHIP SPOTLIGHT: East Charlotte Nissan

The good folks at East Charlotte Nissan in North Carolina recently built their first full customized 370Z and came to STILLEN to get the proper parts for the build. They started out with a new 370Z and wrapped it in matte blue vinyl, blacked out the emblems and tinted the windows.
To add a little more horsepower into the already capable VQ37 motor, a full cat-back exhaust system went in along with the STILLEN Generation 2 Long Tube Dual Intake Kit.
To harness the 370Zs newly acquired power, an AP Racing Big Brake Kit went in behind some 20″ Vossen VVSCV2 wheels fitted with Nexum tires. Eibach Lowering Springs were then installed to fill in the wheels wells and increase handling performance.
An ECU tune is also planned for the 370Z in the near future, but until then it currently sits on the showroom floor of East Charlotte Nissan and is available for purchase.

Toyota Tundra ReadyLift Leveling Kit and Magnaflow Cat-back Exhaust Installed
We just finished installing a ReadyLift 3″ Leveling Kit and Magnaflow Cat-back Exhaust System for a customer’s 2013 Toyota Tundra with TRD Package. These two bolt-on mods took this already great looking TRD Tundra and transformed the look and sound while retaining the stock ride and gaining a little more horsepower to the 5.7L V8.

The customer opted for the Magnaflow Off Road Pro Series Cat-back Exhaust that turns down under the bed in front of the rear tire. This Tundra Exhuast is mandrel bent, 2.5″ single tubing with a 3″ turndown tip. The 100% stainless steel Magnaflow Exhaust is dyno tested and has proven performance gains in horsepower and torque, which also carries a lifetime warranty. This great sounding exhaust has a smooth, deep tone and is built to last.

2013 Chevy Sonic Hatchback Lowering Kit Installed

A STILLEN customer picked up some new Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs for his 2013 Chevy Sonic Hatchback and sent in a few photos of the quick and easy install. These Eibach Pro-Kit Springs were on the car in just a couple hours and transformed the Sonic Hatchback into a fun driving little commuter.

Pro-Kit box contains front and rear springs, front boots, bump stops and product/warranty literature.
The windshield wipers and plastic cover removed to reveal the top of the front struts.
Front tire removed to access the 2013 Chevy Sonic stock front suspension.
Stock strut and spring removed with just 4 nuts.
You can usually rent these spring compressors at your local auto parts store like Pep Boys or Auto Zone for free.
Rear tire removed to expose the 2013 Chevy Sonic stock suspension.
The rear is so easy you can actually change the rear spring without removing the tire if you wanted to. With a jackstand under the rear axle, just remove the shock bottom bolt then slowly lower the jack stand. The rear spring tilts right out.

Add some 205/45/17 tires slightly stretched on some 17x8s and you have a little commuter worth driving.

SOME CHEVY HEAT ON THE DYNO

We have a very interesting special guest on the Dyno today getting some baseline runs in… Although we can’t exactly say what is in store for this little pick up…. Just know there is some serious heat in store for this pick up by way of Truckin’ magazine.
Keep your ear’s to the ground because after everything is said and done with, this little truck is going to be making a lot of noise.
