A little while back we had a chance to meet up with Matt Farah and his awesome crew from TheSmokingTire.com and show them around the buildings here at STILLEN.

Matt and Steve then jumped in the bright orange STILLEN GT-R and took a run through some of the local canyons.  See below for the video!

Matt started The Smoking Tire video series last year, and previous to that was the driving force behind Garage419. STILLEN relies on Adam’s Polishes to keep all of our show cars looking the way they were meant to be, and we’re opening up the shop to give our customers an up-close look at these detailing products in action.

Adam’s experts will be on hand, demoing Adam’s most popular products, new detailing tools and accessories, and giving you first hand advice for getting the absolute best shine possible. Plus, there will be one-day-only special savings and FREE Adams’s samples for all that attend.


The clinic runs from 9AM until whenever, with the official Adam’s Polishes demos from 9AM-10AM.

 

Have a particular detailing question or challenge you’d like us to address? Just let us know and we’ll be ready with answers. And if possible, bring the car in question – we’ll work on it on the spot!

Steve Millen and the marketing crew here at STILLEN took some time out and traveled to LA to spend some time with Adam Carolla, and be a part of his CarCast show.

Adam’s shop is very cool, with interesting things around every corner, and numerous projects in various states of completion.

We brought out the STILLEN GT-R, STILLEN 2009 Maxima, as well as our in-house 370Z with all of the STILLEN bolt-on items, and that is being used for body styling for upcoming STILLEN urethane items, including the prototype 370Z rear wing.

The Adam Carolla CarCast podcast will release in a week or so, and is available for free through iTunes and their website.  Additional video coverage of Adam and Steve discussing the cars will be available at the Motorator website.

On Saturday we opened up the parking lot and the doors to STILLEN as a place for guys at NICO to come down and throw a BBQ meet.  We were really impressed at the number of attendees, and the quality of the vehicles that showed up!

This was also the first time anyone has seen (and heard!) the STILLEN GT-R in a public setting, and the build is getting much closer to being finished in preparation for the upcoming Targa Newfoundland Rally in September.

This is a perfect upgrade for anyone looking for additional braking performance for spirited driving. The combination of a 2-Piston Caliper, dramatically improved Brake Pads, and Stainless Steel lines will ensure a firm pedal, zero brake fade, and improved stopping distances.

Upgrading to this kit from your stock 1-piston OEM calipers offers uniform clamping to the pads, increased clamping pressure, more leverage via the new caliper mounting point and the included larger rotors.

Mintex Xtreme Brake Pads are very high performance street pads that can handle temperatures from cold to over 1300°F, and are linear and predictable under all conditions. These pads have excellent grip, but retain important features like lower brake dust, moderate wear rates, and are much more rotor-friendly compared to other high performance compounds.

For those looking to take your Altima to the track, we also have the AP Racing 4-Piston Kit, both front and rear, which will stand up to as much abuse as possible both on the street and at the track.

We showed some pictures of the STILLEN Production Facility Expansion in its earlier construction phase in late June, and as you can see from the photos below, construction is almost complete.  This expansion will double the size of this STILLEN building, giving us the much needed room to expand the fabrication and manufacturing divisions of STILLEN.

Everyone is chomping at the bit to get some machines in there and increase production…

We have released the STILLEN 2007-2008 Altima Sedan Front Lip Spoiler, as well as the Side Skirts (Rockers).  The Lip Spoiler is an alternative to the complete Front Fascia which is also available.  The Side Skirts are a perfect match to either front treatment choice.

These are constructed from high-quality urethane, ensuring OEM quality and a long life.  They feature a limited lifetime warranty against breakage or cracking during normal use for as long as you own your vehicle.  These pieces are raw urethane, ready to be primed and painted to match your vehicle.

Installation is a breeze, with 3M tape pre-installed on the pieces, hardware included, and detailed step by step instructions (lip spoiler / side skirts).  The side skirts will replace the OEM pieces, and the lip spoiler is a direct fitment over the OEM bumper cover.

STILLEN Expansion

In early 2007 Steve Millen set a goal to expand our manufacturing facility (one of our three buildings in Costa Mesa, California) by the end of 2008. After months of planning and dozens of re-designs the plans to double the size of our fabrication/manufacturing building were finalized. This expansion was necessary to meet the increasing demand for our exhausts, headers, sway bars and other Stillen made products. A little known fact – STILLEN’s manufacturing division makes sway bars, headers, exhaust system and other parts for some of the largest and best known brands in the performance industry.

During the last 22 years we have expanded from a small 1,000 square foot facility in Santa Ana, California into a 3 building campus occupying over 100,000 square feet in Costa Mesa, California next to the John Wayne airport. Within these 3 buildings 95% of the parts we manufacture are made in house. Along with the new building will come new machinery for both manufacturing and R&D. So, no matter what you can dream of, STILLEN will always be there pushing the performance envelope!
